NB: -  The premises MUST be vacated by 11.30pm.

All rates include the use of the Kitchen and Toilets.

A holding deposit cheques required on confirmation of booking in addition to the hire charge cheque. The deposit cheque will be voided after the hire period, provided there has been no damage to the premises and facilities and no additional cleaning is required.

In the event of hire cancellation, only the holding deposit will be returned if WURC are unable to rehire the hall.

Discounts are available to Church members, charities and regular daily or weekly bookings by societies or organisations, by negotiation.

NB: - Applicants must be over 21 years of age and may not sponsor or sub-let any event for anyone less than 21 years of age.

  

Conditions of Hire

The Booking Manager and Church Elders reserve the right to refuse any application for hire and are not obliged to disclose the reason for so doing.

1.   The Church officers will use their best endeavours to open the Hall at the agreed time and provide a key. If however, for any reason, the premises are not opened, the Church’s liability will be limited to a refund of the monies already paid. 

2.   Smoking or the sale of alcohol is not allowed in Church premises.

3.   Only members of the hirer’s group/organisation are to attend during the hire period. Members of the public are not to be admitted.

4.   The hirer must comply with the relevant regulations in respect of: - Food Safety Act, Protection of Children or vulnerable persons, Performing Rights Society Licence or other Intellectual Property rights Permission (if applicable).

5. The hirer must arrange adequate insurance for any activity (e.g. bouncy castle etc.) brought onto the premises, and record any accident in the First Aid box log book.

6.   Notices, posters and decorations may be attached to GLOSS surfaces (except glass) with Blu-tack. But staples, drawing pins, adhesive tape or anything that may damage surfaces must not be used.  

7.   The hirer is to ensure that the Hall, Kitchen and toilets are left in a clean and tidy condition, comparable to the condition at the beginning of the hire.  NB: The cleaning equipment cupboard with vacuum cleaner and brushes etc is the tall cupboard opposite the toilets.

8.   At the end of the hire period the hirer is responsible before leaving to:- Switch off all lights and kitchen equipment (excluding the fridge but including the water supply to the tea water boiler); turn room wall heater dials to ‘0’ (if used); ensure that all windows and emergency doors are closed and ALL unwanted food and rubbish is bagged and put in the outside green waste bin; lock the main door and deposit the key in the Church office letter box.
